Example 2 : Advanced Motion Map

The motion map may show macroblocks outside the range of interest. This example

demonstrates how the motion map works. In short, only those macroblocks inside the defined

areas of interest will show motion. Some macroblocks outside the region of interest may show

motion. These should be ignored.

In this example, a small motion detec tion region in the upper left corner is produced as shown

in Figure 4.
